The Farmhouse that was built around 1850, it sits in its own traditional Charentais court yard and is surrounded with stone barns and out buildings the area is secure, so no need to worry about the children wandering off.
In 2006, the Farmhouse was completely modernised and now benefits from full central heating. We have retained as many of the original features as possible but have ensured that our guests have the full range of modern conveniences too. The property has a warm, homely feel and a unique character, making it ideal for relaxing with family or friends.
The Ground Floor
On the ground floor you will find a large sitting room with SKY satellite television, video, DVD and CD players as well as a large, comfortable sofa and cosy open fire. Ground floor toilet.
The Farmhouse kitchen has a large gas cooker, microwave oven, fridge-freezer (to keep the wine chilled), dishwasher and a large wooden dining table with chairs. It also has a range of cutlery, crockery and other utensils so it is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay.
There is a laundry room situated in the next-door barn with 2 washing machines and a tumble drier. The ground floor also has a w.c. and washbasin.
The First Floor
The Farmhouse has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin room. A cot is also available should you require it; this arrangement can be altered to suit your needs. You will also find a large family bathroom with a bath and shower on the first floor.
All bedrooms have wooden floors with bedside rugs, bedside cabinets with lamps and chests of drawers for your clothing.
General Information
As part of the package we offer, all bedding and towels (including the pool-side towels) are inclusive in our price are laundered for you, so there is no need to bring them with you.
The Farmhouse is available all year round as it has oil-fired central heating. We can also cater for long lets and we would be pleased to talk to you regarding price if that is what you require.
A welcome pack is provided on arrival, and bicycles are available free of charge.
The Farmhouse is a non-smoking gîte. Please talk to us with regard to allowing pets to stay.
